Fruit Salad Activity :

To familiarize Classes 1 to 5 students of our school with the concept of nutrition and its benefits and Importance of Fruits, Fresh Fruit Salad Activity was organized. Through this activity, students were able to identify the fruits and gained a basic understanding of the nutrient value of fruits and their taste. Such activities go a long way in encouraging the children to eat healthy and nutritious food.

RUN FOR UNITY :

The Run for Unity is a nationwide marathon held every year on National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who united 565 princely states to give India its present identity. The Run for Unity is intended to be an inclusive event with participation from people of all ages and backgrounds. Our School celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with zeal and enthusiasm and it was organised to mark the occasion. The students also participated in Run For Unity, gave speeches during a assembly conducted in the school

TEMPLE VISIT :

TAGORE HIGH SCHOOL , for the pre-primary children, organised a special visit to Chowdamma Gutta Hanuman temple at Mahabubnagar road, Shadnagar. Children saw the several statues of lord hanuman.

The children visited Goshala also where the cows were a great attraction for them.

“At Hanuman temple, we worship Lord Hanuman and get his blessings. The entire environment is full of sanctity,”. They were played in the garden of the temple.

The students were served prasad and sweet water. The kids enjoyed the visit and it aroused great interest among them.

STORY TELLING ACTIVITY :

“A good story can imbibe the right values in the most impressionable age.”
Brightening the day of the students with wonderful stories a story telling session
was conducted where life and expression was in abundance.
As a learning tool, storytelling can encourage students to explore their unique
expressiveness and can heighten a student’s ability to communicate thoughts and
feelings in an articulate, lucid manner. It helps improve their language skills,
instills a love of reading and stirs their imagination.

GANESH MAKING WITH CLAY :

To enhance the creativity of students, to inculcate traditional values in them and also to sensitize them towards the environment, Our School conducted “Eco Friendly Ganesha” activity.

Preprimary students made Ganesha idols using colourful playdough.This also inculcated in them the habit of being resourceful. The positivity of seeking blessings by prayer was felt across all the grades.

Students prayed to ganesha. It was a blissful and fun-filled activity.  It also reflected the devotional feelings of students and their parents. They all were excited to keep their hand made idols for puja on the auspicious day of Ganesh chaturthi.

MEAL PLANNING ACTIVITY :

In the Planning a Nutritious Meal , students will learn how to plan a day’s worth of healthy, balanced meals and snacks. They will describe a meal plan for one day, and then develop a detailed plan for one meal of their choice. Our students planned a healthy meals and they decribed about the nutritive values.

Objectives:

  • Identify necessary nutrients, as well as foods that provide those key nutrients.
  • Evaluate foods and recipes for their nutritional content, and be able to explain how much of different nutrients they should have throughout the day.
  • Recognize the health benefits of a well-balanced diet.
  • Demonstrate how to plan a healthy meal.

SERI CULTURE FIELD TRIP :

A field trip of 6th,7th classes students of Sericulture was organized.
At the outset, a detailed introduction regarding the various activities viz, Silkworm rearing, breeding and seed production was put forward. The whole process pertaining to Sericulture from brushing of silkworm larvae upto Cocoon production was explained in detail which undoubtedly helped the students to get fully acquainted with the various activities being performed at the field level.
The different breeding techniques were also taught by the officials of the Station especially the methods and techniques followed for production of double hybrid seed for increased productivity.

SELF GOVERNANCE DAY :

Self Governanace day is a day when students take on reponsibilities of running the school. This includes teaching classes to conducting games and activities. The goal of self governance day is to give students a chance to learn about self responsibility and leadership. Students take over the class rooms and teach the lessons for one day event. Is gives them a chance to develop their leadership skills and self confidence. They were very excited and worked hard to make sure that everything went smoothly. The teachers were also supported for this event..And it was a great success and had a lot of fun.

SCIENCE FAIR (SCIFARI’23):

Our school organized a science exhibition on the 25th of November, 2023. The exhibition was conducted and had a number of students and teachers participating and collaborating hand in hand to make the event successful. The science fair was named as “SCIFARI’23” . This exhibition was open to students from other schools as well as their parents. The schools were given invitation passes to visit. The event started at 10 am and continued till 4 pm. On the 25th of November, 2023 the event was inaugurated by MEO and MPDO. The event started by the Principal by giving a warm welcome speech and requested the chief guest to assist him in lighting the lamp. The event was a success and all the participants got a certificate.

SPORTS DAY CELEBRATIONS 2023-24 :

The event took place in the spacious playground of the school. The M.E.O and M.P.D.O was the chief guest of the event. Students of various classes participated in the sports day.The four houses (SURYA, AGNI, PRITHVI AND AKASH) of the school cheered for their respective members. The M.E.O and Our Chairman Sir started the events of the day at 9:30 a.m. with an inaugural address and by releasing a flock of pigeons into the sky. The Sports Day started with the march past of the four different houses. After the march past, the students of the four different houses competed against each other in sports events like Basket ball, Volley ball, Throw ball, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, relay race, 100 metres race, 200 metres race, long jump,Shot put, Tennicoit, Tug of war and discus throw. Kindergarten kids too participated in fun games like sack race,frog jump, running race, musical chair, lemon and spoon race, etc. The school had made arrangements for refreshments for both teachers and students. The event was continued for three days with different outdoor and indoor games.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD EXAMINATION (SOF) :

The Olympiad examination conducted for high school in Mathematics and Science and secured gold medals in school level. 12 students were selected for the zonal level examination. Congratulations and cheers to our students.

FREE EYE CHECKUP :

The objective of the camp was to check the eyesight of the students and provide perfect-fitting spectacles, which are environmentally friendly and fully biodegradable, to those who were found to have weak eyesight. The camp started at 9:30 AM and lasted till 1:30 PM for all the students.

VISIT TO AN OLD AGE HOME :

Visiting an Old Age Home can be an eye – opening experience. It can give us a glimpse in to the lives of the elderly and the challenges they face.

The Tagore students discovered the joy of sharing and caring when they stepped into NAVODAYA Old Age Home at Ayyappa  Colony in Shadnagar. 10th class students visited and donated the needful things

.

GRAND PARENTS DAY CELEBRATIONS :

Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s strongest foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close to heart.

To honour them, Tagore High School, Shadnagar celebrated Grandparents Day on Tuesday, 12 th March 2024. Principal addressed the gathering and reiterated the role of Grandparents in all our lives, as Grandparents are “ A little bit of parents, a little bit of teacher and a little bit of friend”.

The Grandparents appreciated and shared their views on the effort to make a connection between the generations through these events. Grandparents whole heartedly participated in the programmes organized by the School like the Hand printing activity, Musical Chair, Catch the ball and Arranging the cups the Prizes were distributed to the Grandparents. And the program was ended by afternoon with the happy faces.

KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION DAY 2023-24 :

Kindergarten graduation is a joyous and memorable day for both the little ones and their parents and teachers. It is a celebration of their hard work and dedication, and it marks their first step towards a future full of hope and possibilities. The kindergarten graduation ceremony is usually held in the school auditorium. The children are dressed in their graduation robes and caps, and they look very proud and excited.The children then receive their graduation certificates, and they are congratulated by their teachers and parents. Kindergarten graduation is a special day for everyone involved. It is a time to celebrate the children’s hard work and dedication, and to look forward to the future with hope and excitement.

FRUITS AND VEGETABLES CARVING ACITIVITY :

Carving is an art in itself. Vegetable and Fruit Carving is the art of carving fruits and vegetables to form beautiful objects, such as flowers and birds. Nowadays, people also carve out faces of people, animals, monuments and a number of different objects.

BEST OUT OF WASTE ACTIVITY :

Recycling and reusing the valuable waste material can result in development of fantastic and usable products. Rather than putting these waste materials into the landfills, various innovative and creative ideas can be put together to being something new and useful.”Best Out Of Waste” activities involve creating new and attractive items from materials that are no longer used. Here are some ideas done by 8th class students..

HEALTHY DRINKS ACTIVITY :

When the mercury starts rising, our internal body temperature also rises which leads to dehydration, tiredness, restlessness, and irritation. Only drinking gallons of water doesn’t help. The best way to add freshness to your body is by eating a healthy summer meal. The most challenging task would be to serve a healthy summer meal as an appealing and delicious meal to kids. No worries!

PENCIL ART ACTIVITY :

Pencil art competitions in schools can help students develop confidence, self-esteem, and creativity. They can also help students learn to appreciate the experience and become better artists.

LEAF ART ACTIVITY :

Leaf art activities can help children develop fine motor skills, creativity, and imagination. They can also help children appreciate nature, explore the textures of different leaves, and learn about how printing works. Leaf art activities can also promote sustainability and conservation by using natural materials in artistic ways.
